Love languages

What is your love language?

  • Quality Time

  • Words of Affirmation

  • Gifts

  • Acts of Service

  • Physical Touch

Think about your language and how it could be translated to your workplace. How could you consider your employees love languages and invest in new styles of appreciation?

Need ideas?

This could be as simple as dining out together to celebrate the end of a big project (quality time & gifts). Offering to pay for continuing education or new trainings they are interested in. Reassuring them of a job well-done with words of affirmation when you notice them doing something well (big or small). Offering bonuses or even gift cards to places that encourage self-care or family time (gifts & acts of service). Maybe you fist bump or high five to celebrate small wins in the office. Just make sure any physical touch is consensual and within professional boundaries.

Too often do we forget to celebrate the small stuff, or even the big stuff!

We all handle so many things all at once personally and professionally.

The fact of the matter is, we can assume we're all doing our best and reminding each other, especially our employees, that we are worthy, appreciated, and celebrated can go a long way!
